Thats a lot of years.

Wonder what's next for him, and who takes his place.
EDIT: It's apparently someone named Dante Frisiello. They had him alongside the band on the european leg of the tour.

The guy joined Vai in his 20s both as a guitarist and his tour manager. Dave had a great run and looking forward to what else is in store for him. Though him stopping Guitopia got me a little concerned, but hopefully he'll put that to rest.

Dante Frisello is a fitting replacement too. Monster chops and well versed enough to be jumping around various instruments and keeping up with supporting Vai's harmonies.

I have no idea why no other major band picked him for a replacement when they probably could have. I hope he gets something good, as his skills and dedication are top notch... to say the least.

Great guy. He was one of the first, if not the first, to do weekly guitar lessons on YouTube and that got me hooked back in the day. Hopefully something good is in store for Dave.

I think I saw him with Steve last week on Monday in Portland. Great player!

A great backing player, I've enjoyed watching him over the years with Steve, though his tone suffered when he moved away from Ibanez.

I wonder what he'll do next. Shutting down Guitopia and leaving Vai's band, I presume he has a plan in place for the next step.

He's had a great career with Vai. Curious to see what's next for him. Hell of a player. :yesway:

Saw Dave a few weeks ago in St. Paul with Vai. He's awesome just on his own so I really hope he does some more solo work.
