EDIT: It's apparently someone named Dante Frisiello. They had him alongside the band on the european leg of the tour.
The guy joined Vai in his 20s both as a guitarist and his tour manager. Dave had a great run and looking forward to what else is in store for him. Though him stopping Guitopia got me a little concerned, but hopefully he'll put that to rest.
Dante Frisello is a fitting replacement too. Monster chops and well versed enough to be jumping around various instruments and keeping up with supporting Vai's harmonies.
I have no idea why no other major band picked him for a replacement when they probably could have. I hope he gets something good, as his skills and dedication are top notch... to say the least.
Great guy. He was one of the first, if not the first, to do weekly guitar lessons on YouTube and that got me hooked back in the day. Hopefully something good is in store for Dave.
