Hey fellow extended range dudes, what up?

I've had a few Agiles over the years. Currently still have a Hornet 825, and am eyeballing one of the Intrepid 830s currently on Rondo. Anybody have one of them from the last year or two? Has their quality control kept up over the years? Rondo still good to deal with?

And while I'm at it, does anybody have an Intrepid 830 and know of a good hard case that it will fit in? Do the Gator baritone cases work, or are they not wide/long enough? I suppose I could always shove it in a bass case if it came down to it.

I'm mostly curious if they still have a mostly positive reputation. Wouldn't be the most expensive instrument in my collection by far, but still hate to throw money at something if it's gonna be unplayable. What say the crowd? Agile Intrepid Pro thumbs up or thumbs down these days?

You're asking about the intrepid which i dont have experience with (....yet. i'm getting one this year). I bought an Interceptor 7 a month or so ago. Literally flawless outside of needing to put a small floyd shelf nut shim in on the treble side to raise the high e and b a hair for my preferred neck relief (.003) - Fat quilted maple top. Nice fretboard. Nice frets. I'd give the intrepid pro a try if I were you.

*About the case, just email Kurt.

I have an 828 and it fits pretty good in a standard bass hardshell case. Has room to spare up top so you should be good with an 830 as well.

The only agile I've bought recently was the Acoustic 83027 multi scale. Was pretty good quality. There is one buzz on the bridge and the upper fret ends past the body were a smidge off of perfect, but I can't feel them anyway being up there.

Kurt still runs it so the customer service most likely will be stellar (I've had many dealings with rondo over the years). Real easy to send back if you don't like it. Rondo sells reasonably priced decent quality cases that will fit it as well
