why does every amp Reza records sound exactly the same
Tone is stored in the stagnation.

-"This is the latest, greatest amp I've ever played."
-Sounds just like the ones used in the last however many videos.

I me

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Reza's sound
but uh
That's literally the case for all these guys. You use the same cab(s), mic, positioning, room, etc for every recording, of course every amp is gonna sound the same.

This, plus some of the cabs, and I think Rezs’s checkered greenback cab is in this category, are pretty distinct. Ola’s Hesu comes to mind as well.

Would love to see a demo guy do the main demo with their choice total, but then include snippets of the DI and amp through 3 or 4 other IRs to build a reference. Maybe even more to broaden both the speaker selection and mic choices.

I think Fortin's amps sound better, some people like Bogners sound. I think it sounds good, but I like the sound of KSR and Fortin a bit more

I'm looking forward to trying one.

Also, Reza always sounds like Reza, more or less. A single demo through a single, specific signal chain isn't anywhere near enough info to form a real opinion about what the amp actually sounds like.

I'm going to hold off on making an opinion until I hear several people I trust A/B'ing the new amp with the old Uberschalls and going through all the controls. THEN we'll be much closer to being able to tell what this amp is going to be.

Interesting. The Rev Blue is the loosest amp I've ever played. This sounds way tighter by comparison.

Finally! I'm very curious to see how the production version is gonna look and if there's any nifty shit going on at the back panel.

Now that Xmas has came and went, I'm going to pull up the Uber model in the Axe FX and see how close I can get to these tones.

I remember feeling very similarly about the the OG Uber as I did the OG Herbert in that there was something about both amps I really, really liked, but things I couldn't dial out and get quite where I wanted. Got the Herbert to my liking in the Axe, so it's time to give the Uber a whirl. If I can get what I'm after, I might have my ideal heavy Marshall inspired voice.

I like both clips Reza posted and think some of the new controls are good and cool ideas, but I slightly agree with Emperoff above in that the UU may be too thinned out.

Not bad, not bad. I would consider. Would need to be a lot more versatile than the TJ and easier to dial in, but separating out these controls at least gives me some hope that it might happen. Though some of this stuff sounds kind of like my Gower mods, which are great, but can give you many ways of tweaking just about the same sort of tonal qualities.

This is something I want to sound good but I'm not sure if it does. Somebody on RT said they played it, and the tones were different in person, not too tight, definitely tones of low end, and the metamorph might be acting like a signal dump to ground. There are a few parts of the demo video that hit all the right frequencies for me, but this is going to have to be an in-person decision. I just grabbed the MLC Vogg, so I expect to have NO need for tighter amps once I have that in hand (KSR and Driftwood minis both handle that as well). I have been really set on the XTC 3534, but I dunno. I mini version of this would be a no-brainer, so the full size will depend on the price and how much of an advantage it is over a TJ or older Uberschall.
