I'm amazed you can actually hear the ceramic and alnico aspects at play in the bridge pickup -- I'm so accustomed to the usual pickup marketing bullshit! I'm thinking maybe my Huber Orca needs an upgrade out of PAF-land...

See the interesting thing is that I think everyone expected me to go for a MOAR DJENT TOANZ LAWL pickup, but actually I was chasing after a lot of the aspects that people love about PAF style pickups but in a modern context (still tight and aggressive when you need it to be!)

Damn I wanna try these... I actually work for a pickup company that makes paf replicas and I've always thought of ways to have the basic paf tone and feel yet still be able to shred hard when I wanted. These seem like they hit the mark. Good job Misha/Tim!

I think these would be PERFECT in my LTD SCT-607B

$330+ pickups in a ~$450 guitar? Be careful, for when I did a similar thing my 7321 was not magically cured of its lack of awesomeness.

not a set, just the bridge. i like my dimarzio liquifire fine for that. but i love my 7321 otherwise. i modded the hell out of it. plays like a beast now.

other than the mediocre Crunchlab in the bridge currently, it is awesome. i have been debating between the Aftermath, and the Blackhawk. but after hearing the Juggs, i desperately want one. my rig is harsh enough as it is, and i like how smooth these seem to be.

I see you got yours with the bolts... I ordered mine with the nickel screws... I wonder exactly how much of a sound difference there is between the two. Bulb?

Okay, question... Did your tech have to do any modifications to your JPXI7 to get the pickups to fit? I installed mine in my JPXI7 and with both pickups screwed flat to the body the bridge pickup was only about 1/32" from the strings... Every time I palm muted on the low B the strings hit the pickup, plus it just plain sounded mushy and terrible. I put them in a different guitar for now but I really wanted them in my EBMM. :wallbash:

He sent his guitar to us (The Axe Palace) and we installed the pickups for him. My tech had to route it a bit because of the depth of the pickup related to the shallow cavity. No problem though, was a clean job as I'm sure he'll attest to :)

I just got mine and the height is more than Blackhawks even. These pickups wont be going in to my Strandberg CL7 or KxK as the routes in Strandbergs and KxKs are not deep enough and I dont want to route out any wood in either of those guitars. The KxK 7DC is the biggest problem as the body is super thin and I dont want to route it at all. These are exactly the same depth as the EMG 57-7H/66-7H that came stock in the CL7 but whereas the EMGs sound good right up at the strings, these will most definitely need to not be right at the strings. I wont route a guitar for pickups before I have even tried the pickups. These will fit fine in my Mayones though, but since my Mayones has an elaborate series and parallel as well as piezo set up, I will be leaving that thing alone with its Aftermaths.

It's like that with the DiMarzio Crunch Lab also and how it's taller than other DiMarzios. Any good tech can make it work with ease. It's nothing to stress over, we do it almost weekly. That being said, there are plenty of other BKPs that are as good as if not better than Juggernauts IMO and are normal depth, so it's not a huge deal :) Plenty of options available.

Well the Crunch Lab that comes stock obviously fits fine in the JPXI7, it's just that the Juggernauts have a nickel silver baseplate with legs and screw poles that protrude below the bottom of the baseplate whereas the Dimarzio has a flat pc board style baseplate with no poles. From what I've seen you only need to remove about 2/32" of wood to get the pups to fit. It's a pain in the arse, but a necessary one

The crunch lab is very tall, more than other dimarzios. In many ibanez or other shallow cavity guitars they would require routing to get them at a normal height. The juggernaut for whatever reason is tall also. On some guitars it'll install fine, in others it'll install fine with just filing down the screws on the bottom, on others the cavity itself will need routing. The JP we installed Juggs in was the latter. It was no problem for my tech, or any good tech.

For anyone weary of minor routing for whatever reason, most other bios will drop in fine.

Ordered mine a week ago and it's headed into my LP Custom :)

Decided to get Misha's etch, so I'm gonna have to wait a while. Either way, I'm curious how it's gonna sound in a heavy LP.

Do the bridge Juggernaut 7 pickups work for an Ibanez RGA 7320?

and would my guitar work if I just replaced the bridge pick ups with the juggernaut pickups?
