I had this amp way back when…It was both an amp and a heater for my apartment in MI. Constant fears of it catching fire led me to selling it for cheap one day. It did sound good with an additional eq, overdrive, etc.
For anyone wondering I'm pretty blown away by Neural Amp Modeler (NAM). It's free and extremely capable at capturing or running in a DAW for recording. It has a few shortcomings like only working with mono IR and 48kHz, but those hurdles are supposedly being worked on by the community.
Definitely worth checking out. I'm not even looking at the ToneX anymore since I don't have need of a dedicated hardware device.
