Are there any guitar mods to tame the fizz/fuzz of a pickup like a lace death/X bar?

Those should not be fizzy? I would check you rig settings.

Are you using the recommended value pots? I know Lace suggests 250k pots to tame some high end, but alot of people use 500k pots with no complaints

Exactly... I mean I hated the Lace pickups in my JEM... but it wasn't because they were fizzy.

Alumitones are fizzy. If you are using 250Kohms pots I don't know what else to suggest unless using an EQ to roll off the higher frequencies before hitting the amp, or look for a filter to roll off the highs... I guess there must be something active that can go inside the guitar like a tone-pot.

It seems to be a common consensus that they have an underlying fizz to the death/x bars.
I havent got them just yet but am pretty sure ill go with them

I sold mines. Pretty nice output, tone and punch but that fuzziness was killing me... It's better to know before buying
