You must listen to Palms by Palms, my favourite album from this year.

Yeah I second palms aswell especially antartic handshake for this purpose the rest of palms is great but the songs can get loud and intense in parts in a really good way for normal listening but if you're going to sleep those moments can give you a sudden fright, I know this from personal experience I've been half asleep listening to it and had one of those mini spaz attacks when it gets loud all the sudden lol

VAST - Ambient-electro kind of industrial-rock, I find it easy to sleep to.

BT - Great ambient/glitchy music to sleep to. (Get 'This Binary Universe')

Zachary Huff - Dreamsura.

Fat Freddy's Drop - Excellent dub/soul band from New Zealand

I also like to sleep to a lot of contemporary jazz, I won't link any but check out 'Avishai Cohen', 'Yaron Herman', 'Phronesis', 'Tigran Hamasyan', 'Joshua Redman' & 'Amit Friedman' are a few to check out.

If you're a fan of old video games, check out Super Soul Brothers as well, soul/jazz covers of all your favourite N64 Era video games.

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Volume II

Hailed by many as the greatest ambient album of all time, plus it's over two and a half hours.

I use an android app called White Noise Lite (free). I mostly use it for the Heavy Raining and Fan sounds and it works. It just sucks cause it drains a little battery, but it's better than hear my nephews crying in the morning.

Global Communication: 76:14. One of the best electronic albums ever recorded. A few beats here and there, but it's an amazing album to drift off to.
Christopher Franke: The London Concert. This is a favourite for me to chill out to when wiped out after work.
Jean-Michel Jarre's Waiting for Cousteau. Just the final track from the CD- 45 minutes of fractal music. Lovely to space out to. I love Equinoxe to chill to as well.
Tangerine Dream- rubycon. Spooky, but gorgeous Berlin School electronica.

This is probably the greatest thread in the history of SSO. So much good stuff in here that I've been listening to while working and to play for my 2 week old twin girls to help keep asleep. WAAAAY better than our noise machine that plays Twinkle Twinkle on repeat.
