Goddman, I loved Freakazoid as a kid. Him "flying" everywhere cracked me up every damn time without fail.
The theme song turned into a roast song between me and the neighbor kids.

An excerpt:

Who doesn't change his underwear?

Me and a bunch of my coworkers went to Monster Jam last year as an unofficial company outting for the department, and a couple others got in on it too, it was genuinely a fun time just watching big trucks smash stuff and race around doing tricks

If someone told me as a kid monster trucks would be doing back flips I never would have believed them.

So I was a little surprised when I went to a Monster Jam event about 10 years ago and they did flips lol

Yeah - took the family to Monster Jam in the Twin Cities last year. Was amazing what those trucks could do. Fun time - will have to do it again.

It's one of those things where I probably wouldn't go again on my own dime, but I'm glad I've gone once, and would go again without complaint if someone else was footing the bill.

The flipping trucks blow my mind. It's like when I first saw a front flip in bmx dirt jumping. I couldn't even process it. Forget who I first saw do it but Tim Fuzzy Hall comes to mind although I can find no video proof.

Did you get to say GRRRRRAAAAAVEDIGGER??

I remember the commercials as a kid and they were always at the Pontiac Silverdome (RIP), which was last used as a parking lot by FCA when I worked there and has since been demolished.

Man, I almost want an 80's nostalgia thread, as that's the decade I grew up in, but it got me thinking; not a whole lot of childhood pop culture from the 70's. I wonder how folks with childhood memories of the 70's relate to older media; I kinda feel like the 80's kids were the first generation to be so aggressively marketed to, with so much targeted pop culture. 70's kids were, like, riding bikes or something.

I think they were just targets for cigarette marketing
