nah, I finally lowered the screws and the floyd rose in either of my guitars till the original position and turned a few times the truss rod screw, straightening the neck and now the action is way lower, having the guitars hanged in wall mounts unplayed for a while should bend them, I guess...

Well, in my other guitar I was able to lower the action down to 2,2 for the 7th string and 1,75 for the first one (measuring in the 14th fret) but it took me to virtually make the bolts out of the fixed hipshot bridge, is that even normal? pics following:

Thanks, mates! That's right, now I have to find a 1,2mm key, I've been to a big hardware shop this morning and they have nothing smaller than 1,5mm (which is the same in my pic, too big for it) or I need to buy a whole set for 30€... come on!

Not so much, it was completely body level before I lowered and now is a bit sunken but not a big deal I think. Maybe I might go a bit further and be more "ambitious" with the string height in order to gain more comfortability... dunno. I may consider it for another guitar, I have a Lag Arkane...

Got it! lowering the bridge meant I have 2mm now in the 7th and 1,5mm in the 1st string, fret 15, now it is just fine for me. Tomorrow I'll try with the other one with fixed hipshot. Thanks everyone!

Yeah, Ran guitars is long time dead now, no possibility to ask. I like the pickups how they are, tried several heights and that was the best for wo much output that the warpigs deliver. I guess I'll have to get used to that string height or take it to a qualified tech, which I don't have any...

The guitar is a Ran Crusher 7 27'' and I noticed checking my other Ran Crusher with fixed hipshot that the string height in both is quite similar. That made me think maybe the construction of the guitar, longer scale is constructed to have higher string distance or maybe I'm just concluding...

Now I realized it wasn't as dramatic since I got 2,5mm in the 1st string and 2,75 in the 7th, still to high, especially in the thin strings. Juggs are (imo) the best pickups out there, yesterday night after a while playing my new guitar with dimarzios I picked up my skervesen with Juggs and was blown away for the huge difference in clarity, THE CLARITY! Maybe I had a few more beers than I should have, I'll try the experience again...

Nice, I have Juggs in other two guitars so that's not an option for me, although I love them, I prefer diversity in my axes, if I ever change them, that'll be for another set of dimarzios (that I also like) or SD. But anyway, out of curiosity, how do you like the juggs in your Ibanez? I guess...
