I use the djinn bass. I used the euro bass for a while but I really liked the sample Dingwall in the djinn bass. It's definitely made for that modern metal sound imo.
I have so high cuts on the overheads and room mics for the drums that might a bit too aggressive. I'll try adjusting those and putting another mix below. I have a high shelf boost on my master that I could increase as well if the entire mix needs a boost.
edit: I made those adjustments and also...
You were definitely right. I adjusted the cut and it sounds far better. I think I was just twisting knobs without thinking too much before letting my ears have a break. How does this sound now?

Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some mixing feedback on a tune I'm working on. I'm thinking about making the rhythm guitars a bit darker but I wanted to gather some input from others on what I can do to improve the mix and also give my ears a break from listening. Would love any input...
Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well! This Black Friday I'm thinking about upgrading my interface but not sure if it's gonna worth it. I've been using HX Stomp to record via USB and I'm curious if investing in another interface would really improve my sound or if my money can better be...
If you're able to go to a music store, like guitar center or sam ash, you should see if they carry any of the guitars you listed in your original post. You would be able to try them and see which is the most comfortable for you. Also as cliche as it is to just get a used prestige I haven't...
Hey dude! Your song sounds great so far. As for the EZ drummer sounds they sound kind of mediocre. I think EZ drummer was made a tool for creating drum parts really quickly for pre-pro arrangements of songs so that later a real drummer would learn and then perform them for the recording. I think...
Very cool tune dude! I think the overheads could come up a bit and I think the bass needs some work. The tone of it could be a bit brighter which would help it sit better with the guitars. I think you could bring up its low frequency (around 120k-ish) to make it hit a tad harder too. Sounds...
Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well today! I recently got finished with a cover of the song "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from Disney's Mulan which features a super talented vocalist! I wanted to share it here and see what you all think! I used Neural DSP's omega granophyre for the rhythm...
I remember watching this video some time ago for streaming audio from a DAW into OBS. The people who make reaper have a plugin that does this. I hope this video helps!
LONG POST! TL;DR at the end!
The video above is for those who don't want to read my wall of text below. This is a write up of my experience fitting standard pick-ups into a multiscale guitar and I wanted to share the experience with everyone in case someone is interested in doing this as well...
I bought this plugin last black Friday and I've used it on all my recordings since! It sounds sooo good. I'm super tempted to pick up their djinn bass now hahaha
I made this cover with a friend, I hope you all dig it! I had a lot of fun trying to recreate the instruments and mood of the Doom game. I used Neural DSP Omega and Nolly for guitars, Euro bass II for the bass (Duh), and Get Good Drums Invasion Kit for the drums.
I agree with slan the bass note in the cleans is pretty boomy. I think a multipressor would work really well there to take those resonant notes down a bit but also keep the body of the other notes. The low end could use some work when the distorted guitar kick in. I can't really hear the kick...
