The fan is noisy by design. Nothing wrong with it or the bearings. Its around 32dB. Silent fans are usually around 15dB so much more quiet.

The cooling fan in my ENGL850 is too loud and distracting. it used an 80mm 240VAC fan. Most quiet PC 80mm fans are DC. Any recommendtion what and how I can replace the fan with? The only issue I cannot find quiet 240VAC fans as a replacement. I'm wondering how I can convert to a 12VDC fan if...
