I guess I’m one of many who'd either spend that sort of cash on a really nice custom job, or a very nice Schecter (like an Armageddon) and a top of the line amp head and a couple of speaker cabinets. Maybe if I had stacks of cash collecting dust and I were crazy bored, but until I reach that...
I have a 160w PV Mace head and 4x12 speaker and I used to practice in the middle of the night in my apartment in San Francisco - I just left the volume on zero, and I was still able to hear what I was doing, yet you couldn’t hear it 10 feet away…
You're pretty close. It's not "stereo" in terms of left/right channels, but in the sense that you can have two complete effects loops. My idea is to have a "primary" loop through which I'd have a particular configuration I'd play most of the song.
The "secondary" loop might have a delay set...
I couldn't be more pleased with mine. The only compromise was the color, but the flat black is growing on me. I have a JL Schecter that was in the same price range and the build quality between the two is about the same…
Hey! I've been searching for an effect like the
Xotic Stereo X-Blender
, but that I can control with a foot pedal. I want to be able to fade a second effects loop while I'm playing without having to reach down to turn a knob or nudge it with my foot
For some reason it takes me a while to "warm up" to a new guitar. This is my 2nd Jackson, and I definitely don't regret getting them. I keep promising myself not to get any more, but you know how that goes. Here's my other Jackson:
Mostly I just can't see any of the wood extending through the body, like a place where the body is glued to the sides of the neck extension between the bottom fret and the bridge. Maybe it's just sanded extra smoothly and the uniform color makes it hard to see…
Okay, ladies and gents, here it is! Actually, I got it from AMS a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't my 1st choice, but I was able to get this one financed. One question I have, however, is about the neck. All descriptions state it's a neck-through design, but had I not seen that, I'd say it's a...
Thanks for the reply! Actually, I've already ordered it. Naturally, it makes loads of sense to ask after buying and not before, but if I don't like it I can return it as long as it's in original condition (purchased from AMS). I'm pretty sure it will be really nice.
It wasn't my first choice...
What's the word on the Jackson Pro Series Soloist SL7? The only criticism I have is that it's only available in flat black. Otherwise it looks like a quality instrument. Finally, where are these models made?
Thanks again, everyone!
While the guitar above with the graphic isn't readily available, I did find this, Schecter JL-7 FR S without the graphic. They said they can have Sustainiac kits installed by a qualified tech into existing guitars, and that they've done 30+ so far. I'm going to...
I've had my eye on this model for a while. I like the neck-through design, 7-string Sustainiac, ebony fretboard and just the overall aesthetics. The one thing I wish it had was a darker color option, but it's in no way a deal breaker.
There's another model I really like, the Jeff Loomis JL-7...
