Just got a Peavey XXL head and my god does it rule. The Ultra channel is definitely in the same ballpark as the XXX but much tighter. Might be my favorite head ever lol
I had kind of the same thoughts on Extinction(s) as well. Will Putney is good and all, but i feel like Adam D, Terry Date, and Mark Lewis fit Unearth a little better production wise
Man, that intro is SO Stings Of Conscience. I couldn't stop smiling on first listen. Then the thrash riffs and that disgusting breakdown? God.....such an amazing band. Still my favorite in the genre. :hbang:
Dude it's crazy how inconsistent their MII stuff has been. Legit have had much better luck with my MIC Js32 series guitars, i kid you not lol I have suspicions that they may use the same Indo factory as Ibanez because i have had a ton of issues with Axion Labels, and standard series Ibbys over...
So a little back story, I have always had a soft spot for V's, specifically Jacksons being a lifelong Megadeth fan. In fact my first really good guitar was an Esp LTD Dv8-r which i still kick myself to this day for selling. This new Jackson RR24 7 string which is part of the MIK Concept Series...
Hopefully we are in for a treat then because according to some interviews i have seen with Trevor and Buz recently, this album shares a lot in common with Watchers. :metal:
Peavey Vypyr Tube 120w 2x12 combo paired with a decent noise gate and the Sanpera 2 has no business punching that high above it's weight for the price they can be had for. As long as it dosen't shit the bed (fingers crossed!) it will never leave my collection.
Update : She's recieved some upgrades this past week! Emg 57-7 and 66-7 pickups in chrome and Tone Ninja locking tuners in satin chrome! For anyone curious the Tone Ninja tuners are exactly like Sperzels, except they have a normal screw pattern so modding needed. Can't say enough good things...
Agreed, Im pretty picky with the genre, and never got into the overproduced gimmicky stuff with over used autotuned cleans. Unearth have got to be one of the best if not the best in the genre in my opinion, they perfectly mix Iron Maiden/In Flames melody with the aggression of Pantera and...
Also, interesting fact if you notice Buz and Pete both have capos at the first fret of their guitars. I was watching the live set of when this was filmed and they are the same guitars they use on Incinerate which is Drop A. This may actually be their first A# song? Explains the In Flames vibe i...
He's been touring with As I Lay Dying as Nick Hipa's replacement for the past year but apparently Ken and Unearth had unrelated philosophical differences so he decided to take a step back and go on a hiatus because he felt like he would hold them back. At least that's what i remembering him...
Man, if you were ever a fan of these guys, then there's absolutely no way you wont dig this! I was a little worried they would change too much with the departure of Ken Susi from the band, but goddamn. Buz Mcgrath went in dry on this. Great writing and playing as usual. Can't wait for this...
Fm3 all day. The latest modeling from Fractal, has plenty of power (i even use virtual capo and other pitch shifting stuff and never go past 60-70 percent) and with the latest firmware, it knocked CPU usuage down a fair bit too.
