Maybe go on the lighter side and see if it works, D'addario and others make an 11-56 set that would probably be good with the long scale. They put 14-68 on there from the factory and they definitely do not feel good.

Cloth push-back wire is the best I've used. It's really easy to work with, holds it shape well (as in won't immediately want to spring back off the lug you're trying to solder to, or whatever), and the "push-back" feature versus having to strip the wire every time is really nice. And it's...
