What is your next guitar/gear purchase gonna be?

I always boost all my amps pretty much. The Herbert has a tone of lows and low mids so imo it needs a boost for modern high gain tones. Boosted, it's thick, tight, and extremely saturated with that signature Diezel hi-fi-ish tone.

What is your next guitar/gear purchase gonna be?

Yeah, this is my second round with the herbert. I had a mk 2 a couple years ago that I was in a love/hate relationship with until I eventually sold it. I'm in love with the mk3 and like it quite a bit more than the mk2, but that might be because I'm using different speakers (governors/evm 12ls)...

What is your next guitar/gear purchase gonna be?

Traded my explorer with some cash for a KSR Juno. I like it much more than the orthos and colossus I had before. I'm not sure just yet if I'd rank it higher than my Ares but the gain switch for channels 2 and 3 might just give it an edge. I fucking love powerdozers. I pretty much only play my...

    Solar Guitars by Ola Englund

I'm not saying I do. I play only at home lol. But you're crazy if you think people don't and that it doesn't affect people's purchasing decisions.

    Solar Guitars by Ola Englund

Idk but I haven't seen an LTD or E-II that looks as good as my ESP original horizon. Also, love it or hate it, the brand name on the headstock is also a big driving factor for purchases as well. There's nothing that tells me that this new solar is a more premium instrument than the standard...

FS Bunch of Seymour Duncans + Bare Knuckle Warpig

Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: I've got a few pickups that have built up over time so it's time to clear house. The pickups are all in great working condition. The custom 5 trembucker is on a backplate from a different pickup. The specific pickups are: SH4 JB chrome cover, TB5...

Yeah I'm not sure why anyone would spend $3k on this when it looks indistinguishable from an indo-made model for 1/3 the price.

What is your next guitar/gear purchase gonna be?

Saw a Bogner Shiva pop up cheap on Reverb and haggled it down to $875. I don't know what's wrong with me.

"Amp in the room" tone doesn't matter. Or does it?

imo too many people gassed him up in his earlier vids that popped off so now he feels that he has to preach some profound truth that really isn't profound

    New Mesa Boogie Mark amp?

Red channel. Bass and treble at 6 and mids at 5. Presence at 4 o’clock. Probably won’t sound the same through your setup though because I have an uncommon speaker pairing of governors and evm 12ls. Yeah I try not to get too used to it but I really only ever fuck around at home so I don’t really...

    New Mesa Boogie Mark amp?

Kinda unrelated but I just got a mesa 5 band eq in the mail that I plan on using with my new non-eq Mark iii. For fun, I tried using it with my Stealth 100 and scooped some 750hz and wow, it sounds significantly better to my ears. I normally scoop mids on 5150 variants so I guess it's not THAT...

    New Mesa Boogie Mark amp?

Shred adds more gain and more high end. Extreme mode adds more volume, low end and compression compared to the iv.

    The Carvin / Kiesel thread

I don't hate it and I usually hate Kiesel body shapes. Makes it a little more unique and doesn't look so much like a mass produced cookie cutter shape.

What is your next guitar/gear purchase gonna be?

I need to stop myself from buying any more amps. Picked up a mint fully loaded Splawn Quickrod locally for a steal.
