Out of curiosity, are you interested in any trades for the 7620?
I'm in Phoenix (used to live in Chandler) and willing to do a local swap. I have an RG2228 I never play that's in mint condition except for 1 very tiny chip where no one can see it. Can send you more details if it piques your...
Ah, you caught my reply before I deleted the neck-width stuff, heh. I decided it wasn't the place to poop on an awesome NGD.
And yeah, keep me in mind when/if the 7620 goes up. I imagine you'll list it here?
I (personally) wouldn't worry about it if the guitar otherwise seems to be in perfect condition. In fact, congrats on using that to get an extra 10% off!
Jesus, that thing's in amazing condition. Great find indeed. I've been keeping my eyes open for one to come up in decent condition, but those that do are usually too expensive for me.
If anyone's hesitant because they don't want mismatched pickups, I have a matching (also mint/unboxed) Ionizer 7 Neck pickup that I'm willing to sell as well. I had both created at the same time, to be used together.
If you're interested in buying both (so you have matching pups), just message...
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar:
Special-order, one-of-a-kind chrome-topped DiMarzio Illuminator 7 Bridge pickup. It's unused / unopened, and this particular configuration can't be bought anywhere.
I ordered this at the DiMarzio booth when I went to NAMM. Since I'm otherwise nobody...
I was SUPER worried about this as soon as all this crap went down.
I can't imagine what it must've been like for them, trying to quickly close shop, sell equipment, move across the world, etc.
Best I can tell (from following Simon's + his wife's Instagram feeds), it seems like she may have...
Maybe this was discussed earlier in this thread, but are they planning to release these again in the future?
Was the 100 limit just for this particular finish?
Be sure to loosen the tiny stud lock screw down inside each trem post before you attempt to lower the trem (if that's part of what you need to do).
People (even some techs) unfamiliar with Ibanez trems sometimes don't realize those little guys are down in there.
It's not a procedure I'm looking forward to, but it looks like it's just a matter of unsoldering and then resoldering the main piezo lead to the PCB (aside from being very careful with those 7 individual piezo wires).
Still not looking forward to it tough :/
I wasn't as lucky as you tough: I...
I had an alert set up on ebay to email me any time "2027X", "2027", "RG2027", or "RG2027X" popped up in the listings. Then, I waited... and waited. It took a while and I got a lot of stinkers, but then "the one" finally appeared. Not sure if Reverb has a similar alert feature.
Unfortunately...
Actually, I contacted LR Baggs and they will still sell you the replacement piezo inserts. I spoke with Morgan Mitchell at [email protected] and he said they're $12 each.
They don't advertise it, but if you email and tell them exactly what you have (a Double Lo Pro Edge) they'll sell them to...
Congrats! I scored one of these a few years back in 9/10 condition.
Unfortunately, the only thing really wrong with the one I found was the trem's knife-edges: total toast, so it wouldn't stay in tune nor intonate properly. I consulted with Rich at Ibanezrules.com and he agreed that there was...
