Thanks that metronome tool sounds very useful. As far as goals go more than anything it's get better at soloing...like James Murphy on Cause of Death. Maybe still a very broad goal.

I've been playing for 20 years but haven't made any progression in 10 at least, especially when it comes to soloing(and I still only know about one scale). I bought an advanced guitar book and absolutely sucked at it. I'm considering starting at 'beginner' level lesson stuff and slowly moving up...
