So has everyone who's bought one worn down those basic nickel frets yet? JK. These still look awesome.

    Tremol-no in 2022 (or '23 soon)?

Thanks, yeah the idea would be to use dive only to go quickly to drop D and maybe a total lock to go to DADGAD or something weird. Just permanently going dive only might work better.

    Tremol-no in 2022 (or '23 soon)?

So I had a Tremol-no when they first came out and tried to put it on a guitar with an Edge Pro 7 and wasn't really happy with it. Either I didn't know what I was doing or I ordered the wrong clamp/pin type or it just didn't work (or any combination of those things). But that was years ago and...

    Ibanez 2022 discussion.

Did they intend the gold one to give ESP vibes with those inlays? It even has the big block centered at the 12th fret.

How Much of a Difference is 26.5 Scale vs 25.5

FWIW I definitely feel the difference in tension and stretch between 26.5" and 25.5". Whether it's manageable for you probably depends on your hand span.

Mustaine left Dean and went to Gibson/Epiphone/Kramer

Yeah but were you just looking with your eyes? Or for real with a high def zoom lens of a fancy camera?

    ESP 2023

Seems like it'd be hard for dealers to place new orders for more stuff when they seem to still be waiting on last year's orders.

Question for players that play with thicker strings

I used 10s in Standard on a 25.5" scale for a long time but maybe I'm just lazy or weak but I switched to 9s and it's so much better. 10s are awful but it is more work and man I do not need more work.

Question for players that play with thicker strings

I think part of it is just getting use to it (basically, exercising your wrists and fingers). Some of it is technique (bending by leveraging your wrist instead of just the fingers) and some of it is getting the action as low as possible (so there's just less deflection of the string needed to...

Composing with 6 and 7 strings?

I assume this is for recording and the 7 string has an extended scale and/or fixed bridge while the 6 string has a Floyd or different pickups or whatever. Just record all the pieces you can with the 7 string and punch in the parts where you wanted the 6 string.

I'm a Gibson fan but those pics are not what I'd hope to see... eek.

    Schecter John Browne signature?

If it's a USA Schecter, then money cannot possibly buy a nicer guitar. They are really top notch.

All beautiful! Does the ESP have a solid maple body? Looks killer.

I despise the black cherry finish and the headstock is maybe a bit dorky compared the reverse headstock on the other, but at least this new one has a straight neck with plenty of room on the truss rod in either direction. Flawless fretwork too. Easiest guitar I've set up in a while (once I...

Some guitars are too funny not to post

I'm guessing he wrapped the string down the post to get more downforce/break angle over the nut.
