I don't think anyone who is somewhat "in the know" about the guitar industry thought any of what has transpired with Gibson in the last couple decades is surprising. Good and bad.
Gibson's future was never legitimately in question.
Companies have rotating artist rosters, somewhat by design...
I really think the whole open "civil war" thing is just an ultra-right fever dream. It's the "Trump riding a tank holding a rocket launcher with eagles at his side" thing. All fantasy.
It's like the cops at Ulvade with their Punisher imagery, cowboy hats, and bravado, when it actually came time...
You don't have to be an "idiot" to just have a skewed perception of the tension. Our minds play tricks on us, much like how optical illusions can fool your eyes your sense of feel can be just as unreliable in certain circumstance.
If you really think it's the trem, block it and see if you feel...
They're all special one-offs, and have long since sold.
As part of the Hoshino anniversary they let each custom shop employee from both LACS and IJCS design and build a few special instruments of their own and then assigned them via lottery to dealers internationally, where they were quickly...
There's nothing to sell. Most manufacturers are running 12 to 18 months behind target. Some as far as 24 months.
The few SKUs that trickle through the pipeline get snatched up by the big box retailers like GC/MF and Sweetwater where they're quickly sold to folks on pre-order.
I don't know what folks think the BBB is, it's just Yelp but less helpful.
They offer paid mediation services for a fee, but they by no means have the power to do anything other than adjust their own dubious rankings.
It's really just a money pit and total case of "chasing the dragon."
But it's cheap and harmless, so I tend to indulge, especially when bored or a good deal pops up.
A lot of the pickups I've tried out I've gotten from used guitars with pickup swaps, which is a bonus.
I've been swapping...
If you're going to fly the confederate flag or put nazi symbols all over your shit, maybe fucking own it.
I'm sick of this "well, I like these symbols because they're evil and menacing and make me seem tough, but I'm not really that person" horseshit.
Nah, you're someone cool with that...
It's nuts, everyone is paying over sticker for whatever is on the lot.
I wouldn't trust any dealer that doesn't have the actual car on hand.
If I was in the market today I'd probably go through a car buying service. It's a bit of money up front, around $1k when I did it before, but it's just...
It dedepends on your needs. The Red Bishop "Accu-Locator" is great because it's very adjustable, so you can use it on multiple variants of double locking trems, not all, but not bad for ~$50.
The Ibanez "E-Jack" is priced similarly, and is nearly as flexible.
That said, the old "Key" is...
Because most cheap PA speakers have cheapo, fixed crossovers and whatever cheap OEM speakers available.
Cheap is cheap.
Making quiet stuff loud takes effort, and to do it right, it costs a bit of money.
There are decent, mid-priced powered speakers, but they cost as much as guitar cabs anyway.
Yeah, Edwards is below old ESP Standard/E-II stuff. Still really solid though.
It's always hard to asses real value on stuff like this, being fairly limited and unique, but not especially desirable to most.
If the price is comparable to similar, non-limited guitars and you dig it, can't be...
