Ok, so if you'd told fear factory fanboi teenage/twentiesvl me that one day I'd have this is tell you you were pulling my leg, but, this piped up on Facebook a few weeks ago, and weirdly I kind of knew the seller as had sold him a pickup a while before, and he also likes some of the stuff I did whilst in CoF. So.

I managed to pull together the cash, and it arrived last week, and Holly fuck. I love it. Plays so so nice, and sounds awesome and is just a riff machine, can't put it down.

It's also got a fixed lo pro 7, and I took it off out of curiosity and it pretty much looks like it was a standard lopro7 that was milled to be a fixed edge. It's probably one of the only ones if even the only fixed edge 7 they made which makes it extra cool.

Also, has an EMG 81-7 a the only pickup, which as someone who doesn't get on with emgs normally that I am really really liking. Don't know if it is original as it was made in 2001, but don't really care as it sounds great (especially through my 5150)

It's also neckthrough with i think alder wings, and the back of the neck has a satin painted black finish.

Overall I am really stoked about this, and I'll be honest, Mr Cazares REALLY knows how to spec a guitar.

Also, noone wants to read all the above, so here's pictures:

Dont mind me peeping that swirl in the reflection 👀
This is sweet dude, I wish fixed trems were more of a thing because I love how a trem feels just as a bridge but damn if I ever actually use them as a trem.
Oh yeah, the swirl is cool, it's an OOTS body on a genuine uvmc neck, it's really cool, and surprisingly good for death metal!

1) if it helps, that's def not the original pickup. The 81-7 came out in 2004, that pickup's mfg date is 2005. So yeah it's not the original 707(DC) that would have been in there

2) Yeeeeeeeeeah I love seeing LACS from the OG FF years. They tend to be a bit more basic compared to his later stuff but I just think those guitars are cooler.

Congrats, that’s a unique find!

I have to ask about this, too: what is the cover over the saddles on that root beer universe (a one off custom, I assume)?

Am I seeing a red Jem 7 stringer in the back? Custom job, right?
Somewhere in the depth of this forum there might all live the thread about this guitar, it was a near dead uv7bk that i bought for 150$ and came shipped in a box, that got salvageable into what you see. It was rusted beyond belief, the body had a massive crack and it was just a wreck. It's got a fernandes sustainer in it, had a new swamp ash body made, and then I had the neck scalloped, and then I took a blowtorch and red stain to it.

I recently built the 6 string counterpart late last year

It's a palm rest (like the original 1988 jems had before they got done for some patent infringement)

Five alarm guitars makes them for both 6 and 7 strings

It's a palm rest so palm muting doesn't send the bridge sharp

That's what i kind of remembered, and I feared the worst before getting it as i don't like the 707 (or 808) as they're garbage. But I do like this. I guess it must have been swapped in some point, but no idea by who

And I love the early lacs he had, they're the most iconic ones
