I think it's a toss up between Meshuggah and Archspire for me, both were incredible live.

Really digging the new Molotov Solution tracks they've put out recently, big Fit For An Autopsy vibes musically and Will Putney doing production obviously adds more to that. Good shit, glad they're back, hope this means they do another full album too.

Mirar dropped a full album right at the start of the year that is just fucking crazy. I'm not sure what genre they'd be considered, "classical thall"? Whatever it is it's bludgeoningly heavy.

I dig them, they still get into my rotation from time to time. Coincidentally I've also got a PRS Holcomb SVN, though it's entirely about the guitar itself and zero about the artist in this case.

My pre-order came early so I've been jamming it pretty non-stop. I'm still digesting it all so I'm not sure where I'd put it in the grand scheme of their discography but I've been enjoying it a lot and it's definitely a very welcome return to form after the last several albums. I haven't minded...
