Where can I buy a Floyd Rose bridge that ISN'T a complete POS with terrible quality? 😡

So, to begin with, what you see is a blue Agile Interceptor Pro, and an Ibanez RG170 that I restomodded (I Floyd Rose swapped the RG, the Agile is 100% stock except for the pickups). Initially, they were very reliable guitars, but both of them have started to have this problem where their...

I need some advice. I finally was able to buy my dream guitar, but now I'm scared to play or even touch it

So, when I was 17 (10 years ago), I got this beautiful little electric guitar for only $225, from this no-name brand that has since become defunct. Nobody has ever heard of this brand, but that guitar plays better than any of the $2000+ guitars that I've played. It was amazing. Also (this next...

I'm wiring up a guitar. I have a diagram, but I have some serious questions about it...?

So, I have a wiring diagram. I want to wire some EMG 707s into the guitar, with 1 volume, an input jack, 3-way selector, and 18v electronics. Please bare with me as I'm a noob here and haven't done this before. 1. Which terminal of the battery faces the pickups? I assume it's the negative...

    Should I/do I have to wet-sand a satin finish?

I'm building a guitar, and I decided to go with a satin finish. I've sprayed two light coats on already. I know the typical procedure with a gloss finish is to wet-sand it up to 1400 or 2000-grit sandpaper. I kind of want to, just to get the experience, and because I want a faster neck. But...

Single volume pot on an HSS setup

I'm not sure but if you go to Seymour Duncan's website, you can customize a wiring diagram by entering your pickup configuration, and your number of volume and tone pots. The configurator will tell you what type of pot you should get, among everything else you'll need to know. Best of luck!

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

Sorry if my comment came off as a bit passive-aggressive, I didn't intend for it to come off that way. But you think it will warp with only one string?

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

May I ask what you were building? Was it a djentstick or an actual guitar/bass?

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

It's a 2x4 with only one string. I'm sure it will be fine.

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

I actually have a set of 707s. Assuming this isn't sarcasm (sorry I'm a bit of a dumbass), is there a reason why EMGs don't have to be grounded?

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

Okay, thanks. I'll find a way to do that. In regards to your second comment, it's just a djentstick with literally one string. The final product is going to be nowhere near professional quality, I just think it's a fun project for experimenting with low tunings and will get me some experience...

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

Explain? So it's the *strings* that need to be grounded? Sorry if that's a dumb question

Can I use a metal brick instead of my bridge as my electrical ground?

Hey, so I'm building a djentstick out of a 2 by 4. Yeah, I know, I'm hopping on this trend about seven years too late, but whatever. Anyway, I planned nearly everything out, except for one problem. The way I have arranged the parts and cavities means that it will be difficult or impossible for...

Could I get a working wiring diagram for this guitar?

I want to make a disclaimer that I know nothing about wiring guitars. I plan to learn with a new guitar kit that I'm going to buy soon, but for now I am paying someone else to do it for me because it's an extremely complicated job. Anyway. I tried to get my guitar set up with a luthier who is...

Frustration w/ trying to find a suitable middle pickup for metal guitar >:(

TL;DR: Trying to find a middle pickup for guitar, than can accompany my SD Alpha/Omega pups while also sounding good for non-metal. So, I've posted a bit about the Ibanez RG 6-string that I'm restoring. I bought some Seymour Duncan Alpha/Omega pickups after listening to a lot of shootouts on...

Frustration with finding F-spaced SD Alpha/Omega pickups

So, I am restoring an Ibanez RG170, I have Floyd swapped it already, but I want to install the Seymour Duncan MH Alpha/Omega signature pickups. After speaking to a representative from Seymour Duncan, he has informed me that both the neck (Alpha) AND the bridge (Omega) are standard spaced. Now...
