..in case anyone forgot or didn't know. I absolutely love this guitar.
Didn't know they were still around. Always loved thier designs.
Right? I'm a long time lurker here, and I saw plenty of their old stuff, certainly not enough of the current work. They are alive and kicking haha.
Who's building their designs these days?
FAST built mine. I think that's the go to for all the US/CN builds now. I know it's one or two others still, but I can't say I remember who they are lol
Huh. I love my OXC and Tom seems to think Fast guitars are pretty fucking fantastic so if they're building Xen's stuff, I am at the very least interested!
I definitely think they are worth that interest. I really would like another one...talked Eric into turning his thoughts towards a carved top, and a fluence set, and he was all about it, but I ended up having to shelve the thought for now haha. One day...
Yeah, Fast stuff is pretty solid. I wouldn’t hesitate to get one, if he’s the one building them.
didn't you get a roamer recently?
Yep! I actually got two 8s. I bought one in the Fast Roamer Run, and I got a second one from retro (Grey irl) because he decided he wasn’t going to keep it. (He’s playing mostly sixxers now.) And, I got a Roamer 7 in a trade. Great guitars. Kevin is all about the CNC, and you can feel it. Some will say it takes the personality out of the instrument. And while that’s true to a certain extent, at this point I’d much rather have the consistency of a system that makes instruments like these (or any high end production instrument, for that matter) rather than roll the dice on something that may or may not turn out 100%.
