So what do you mean when you say decouple it from the floor? Just put something underneath it or what?

Your signature is a whole bunch of djent references. Don't be so sure.

I've heard the lunchbox 5150s are pretty good, so maybe check one of those out.

    Pretty much.

To understand it, grab your guitar, play an open chord, then put the headstock against a wall and do it again.

Oh I don't actually like djent. I thought the sig pics had long been known to be a goof.

I thought the Knights Djemplar were just the ones of us that were in the lost Nega SSO.

So I went to some stores and tried a lot of stuff.

I got talked into trying some solid state amps as well...

What I ended up liking most was a Randall RG series. So I snagged a used RG200G2 on the cheap and also bought an RG1003h. If I like the speaker emulated line out it may replace my digital axefx ultra since I really don't like how that thing is so distracting (for me). I spent too much time chasing something "more" in all the menus...

I feel that with option paralysis. I much prefer the simplicity. Congrats! Enjoy the new amp!

    Real talk!

I gigged an AFXII for a year and a half and always felt like I was chasing something that was missing. Too much time dialing and not enough time playing. Sold it and eventually landed on a Triple Rectifier as my core amp.

I noticed that in some forums certain "Ad Block" programs will limit images and other things on thread pages.

Fun fact I only learned last week on accident, if you turn your phone to portrait mode, the screen shifts and shows signatures.

This was my one gripe with my Axe FX II. Really enjoying the simplicity of real amps and pedals and I find having limited options for tweaking is actually quite liberating.

Been playing the RG200G2 combo for a while. Still digging it... Sounds good on its own but better w a tube screamer.

The Rg1003h showed up yesterday and when I tried to record it I kind of hated it at first.

The speaker emulation... Not a fan. Even running it through a second cab sim in cubase was pretty disappointing...

Then I tried effects send into an H&K redbox 5... Ehh... Closer but it kind of has this odd cardboardy tone.

For giggles I tried the second cab sim again with this setup and now I'm liking what I'm hearing. Doesn't feel like I need any pedals w this thing.

The blue channel (channel 3) has that classic 90s metal sound with a bit more body. Very Pantera with a modernized feel. The red channel (channel 2) I haven't played with but it sounds a bit fatter and slightly less hot that channel 3.

The mid scoop and bass boost are deceptive buttons. The mid scoop sounds pretty damn good actually. I'm not sure if it removes them or shifts the mid spike because you can still dial in mids with the knob.

The bass boost feels like it boosts some low midrange frequencies as well. The amp was confusing at first because it sounds to me like the bass and mid knob almost work together to do what I normally associate with just a mid knob. No idea if that makes sense.

Not to derail the thread, but I realized there's a setting that turns them off. I must have done that at some point.

Sounds like you would benefit more from a better modeler. One tube amp for that many variations is very impractical.
