They're not in the new line-up for Ibanez. I believe some websites and stores still have them new, but I think they're discontinuing production.

As already has been confirmed the RG1527 has been taken out of the lineup as of 2012. It had a good run, but like many Ibanez guitars, it has run it's course.

While there are rumors of a new MIJ RG7, it remains to be seen.

For the record, the RG1527MGW is getting incredibly hard to pick up.

    damn disappointed about that

I love my 1527s and to complete the line up I was planning on getting a GW one

Is it replaced by the premium line?

Depends on what you consider to be "replaced". The RG827/RG927 Premium models are the only non-Standard RG7s marketed in the US at the moment. Abroad, the RG2627 is the current MIJ/Prestige RG7. The J.Custom RG7 model (goes by different designation based on market) is also available, but it's not cheap.

Yeah, not not in production anymore. Luckily I got the last one from this one guitar shop. Now I just keep it in good condition and sell it with a high price in couple of years. :D

The Galaxy White RG1527 had to be one of the sexiest guitars Ibanez had to offer.

Lets hope, the will do something similar in the future, like an RG2627ZE but in Galaxy White finish, but with maple board and black binding all over body, neck and headstock. That'd be sexy.

I'm glad it's gone the black headstock was so ugly, if It was white too I'd think it was awesome.

The RG1527 had a very long run (nearly a decade), and 3 years for a single variant is pretty good compared to how quickly some of the earlier variants went away.
