Got a question for those that own both.
(When all switches etc set the same on both)
When the TM Jr tone knob is set at 12 noon is it identical to having the TM pros low/mid/high all at 12 noon?

I have both. It is a no. The jr sounds a bit scooped at that setting vs the pro. Both ran st 18v.

Actually, as Mass Defect said, the midrange is slightly more scooped on the TMJR because I felt it was important to match it to the original TightMetal. So you might say that the straight up setting on the TightMetal Pro is a little more mid-range than what I intended, but that's how it worked out with the pot tapers and values etc.

Otherwise, it's the same circuit and the Tone is the same as the High on the TMP. The EQ switch is the same as the TightMetal and Pro on Thrash, and the middle setting is like all switches off, but the Smooth switch actually changes the output to match the output gain structure and tone of the FatMetal. Then since the Jr has a separate knob for the noise gate, I was able to combine the High/Low switch and gain knob so that the Gain knob range goes all the way from low/low to high/cranked.

    Hope that clarifies.
    thanks
