what is your commitment to modding it? how much routing would you be willing to do?

    things I would do -

    remove everything.
Tape up and sand down headstock. Spray pure white to match the body - install chrome ibanez logo back at the end
Get chrome hardware incl locking tuners
chrome pickup surrounds OR White pearloid pickguard
    white pickups
    Graphtech nut
new chrome bridge. Maybe something cool like Wilkinson? graphtech classic saddles?
Tape up and ebonize the fretboard (Ive done this and it works amazing. Use 3 coats of Fiebings black leather dye, and seal it with 2 coats of OSMO PolyX Onyx)
    Luminlay chrome volume/tone knobs

    -end-

I ordered a 4x4 set from JAPARTS. Just email them asking for a quote. Shipping is a bit pricey and they said it will take about a month to get here but there isn't much of a choice.

Both Stewmac and Allparts sell individual tuners if needed.

Name it the "GIO-dude" like the Geodude pokemon and take inspiration from that. Light grey faux rock finish, some eyes behind the bridge, chrome Fishman Fluence moderns

In terms of routing/physical mods, I'd consider routing for a floyd-style trem but that's it. I have my own opinions on headless guitars that I shall keep to myself :p

Kind of reminds me of Matt Heafy's Snofall (of which I'm a massive fan of!)

Cheers guys! Will check them out. But yes, Gotoh SG381 locking tuners are going on.

...The 6-year old in me loves this!

I contacted Stewmac about my order and they said "Unfortunately, we are only able to sell these as they appear in the catalog and on the website." Allparts might be worth a shot, I honestly didn't even think of them.

Bit of an update - I've ordered the pickups for this (set of SD Blackwinters), currently looking at a Hipshot Bridge replacement and Gotoh locking tuners (have managed to source them through my local dealer who has a wholsesale account with the distributor, they'll be a while). In the meantime, currently looking at some gorgeous Japanese fabrics for the the top and headstock. I was going to go a cherry blossom style finsh however since @Hollowway has got me on the WCB Axe Palace bandwagon already, I'm thinking maybe a blue/purple influenced design to contrast. Opinions? Or just fuck it and go pink for days?

    Pink for days!

Alternatively, you could go for the macha green color and orange. Those are classic Japanese colors.

OR, it might be cool to do a sumi-e print on there. Mostly black and white, but with just some color could be super cool!

The Black Winteres I've ordered are white as well :D

That's super cool! There's enough tones in that to match everything else on the guitar.
