thats a fair point about Yngwie, an i love him as much as the next guy BUT notice hes backed up his point by saying that he prefers him more than rather obviously Vai an Satch due to the fact because they may take over vocals or play a banjo or anything else along the lines of that then i think that is a fair opinion, but this is an example of a preferred approach to portraying emotion.

I have to have that guitar. That's amazing.

I would kill for a guitar like that. It has like...my exact specifications and everything. That finish is perfect.

I have to say, I've actually met Rusty in person (and had him for a short while as a teacher), and to be honest, I was massively let down. This man is all business and little passion (note the way he plugged EMG's as the sole best pickups for 7 strings, despite the fact they get almost universally slagged off on this site?). He cared only about finishing the lessons dead on time and getting the payment for the lessons through. I expected a dedicated musician (which he undoubtedly is) who would take a joy and passion in imparting his knowledge to less skilled players. What I got was a lesson on major-scale sweeped arpeggios (and an example played at tempos no less than what he busts out on his records). It was not cool. I was very let down by his personality.

wow rusty is so fucking well versed in guitar-speak that its almost funny. i think in 10 or 15 years he might be the next paul gilbert, if not already. good to see someone from houston gettin his name out there and playin his ass off.

oh and by the way, that dean rc7 is fucking awesome. makes an ibanez neck feel like a fuckin two-by-four. thats comin from a huge ibanez fan too.

^ Sorry man, I don't think Rusty will ever be able to write in the way Paul can, and I'm not even a huge Gilbert fan. They're two very different players with different goals as far as musicianship.
