Those are partscasters with even less value on the market than the 412. You could sell the cab to GC, hit up Warmoth, and make your own.

That's a solid and versatile axe for sure! Chappers agrees.

Ditto for Canada, saw one Recto reborn going for like 1100 Canadian but it was 5 hour drive away. Hope a Mesa 2x12 pops up sometime on the cheap.

That's pretty standard, I think. I figure that if I buy a piece of "average" gear (something anyone can buy new pretty easily) it's automatically worth 40%-60% of the new price as soon as its out of the box. If you have something unique/limited you might be able to get 80%-90%, but even then, you'll probably have to sit on it for awhile. Also, rig consolidation seems to be a big thing these days, so tube heads and 4x12s aren't real popular with a lot of people.

My advice would be to keep it. They are great amps and unless you are really in a pinch, why not just keep and enjoy it

This is why I buy used gear 90% of the time. Let someone else take the depreciation hit.

idk how old you are or how soon you'll die, but you could try hanging onto it and keep it in like new condition. Especially if there's the empty space in your basement.

If you're anything like me, even though right now you're saying I'm so done with this!, 5 years from now you'll be like Damn it why did I get rid of my shit!?

Psssh, that's not how you forum. You're supposed to read the title, maybe skim through the OP, and then comment asap. Duh.

That said, an opinion after the fact can still have merit and be insightful. If not now, perhaps later.

I'll eventually get another recto when the time comes, but the parallel effects loop and the sheer volume and power of it was/is just too much for my little 900sq.ft. house.
Tried having the effects loop moded. Still sounded like ass.

$1100 is great if its a multi watt. 212 mesa cabs dont seem to go cheap anywhere. Try a wtb ad.

OP, enjoy your s2. I love mine.

Also, stop telling people to buy new - that means less used gear in circulation ;)

Yeah that recto was a killer deal, just not going from KW to Ottawa for a splurge like that that I don't really really need.
