    Hi guys!

Let's start with the porn

Just received this beauty a couple of week ago, and it include several built in upgrade compared to my Boden OS:
    1. The flamed maple top is now rated 4A and book matched. :wub3:
    2. The volume knob is now push pull and allow to split the coil. I did the same modification on my Boden OS7L and it really broaden the tonal possibility!
    3. There is now a * marker on the knob (which is useful to know where you're at)
    4. The Fishman fluence modern pickup sound great, and have 2 built in voicing. I made a pickup comparison a while ago for Boden, I will try to include them in it so people can make up their own mind
    5. Roasted maple looks lovely, and the new neck profile feels slimmer and even more comfortable (although I'm still not sure what has changed exactly for the profile?)
    6. Finally a Boden 7 with a Floyd! Still haven't succeed to detune it yet, despite making it suffer several abuses already :sephi:

I'm really pleased with that one, I really enjoyed all the improvements and I'm already using her to track part for the upcoming record :)

Lovely attention to detail. How are you finding the pickups - can you link up the comparison?

    Thanks for love guys!

The tremolo is very good, do dead point, and super stable. The tremolo arm is very thin and higher than you would normally get from Ibanez. Once past this surprise, it's really enjoyable.

Here is the pickup comparison video. For now only EMG 57 / 66 , Lace Aluma X bars & SD Pegasus / Sentient are included. Once I'm done with the new record, I'll update the video.

The Fishman are darker sounding than the SD, and sound a bit more dense IMO. That should be more clear with the video :)

That's a really nice maple top, happy NGD! However, why's that trem cavity left open? :noplease:

One of the included hex keys adjusts the arm height-adjustment screw - Remove it and the washer entirely, put them in the bag with the other tools, and the arm now sits at a "normal" height.

Ah ok, I'll have a look and try. However I looked for this before and haven't found it mentioned anywhere. Is this somewhere on the Strandberg website ?

    Thanks for the answer !

All this will not help me to choose my next guitar..
The only thing is that I can try a Strandberg, but no way to try a Kiesel Vader. F***

I just know from owning one. It's one of a few fun discoveries I shared in my review thread.

Can you do full dive bombs like a floyd or the motion is somewhat restricted on this tremolo?

I don't know if you're asking me or the OP, but it's a knife-edge trem that, mechanically speaking, dives and pulls up as any other would. My main criticism of the trem is that its design results in the strings falling off the saddles (slotted screw heads) when slackened by either detuning or trem action. I personally haven't had strings return to tension off the saddles yet, but it just looks and feels retarded.

Other than that, I've found it as dependable as any two-point strat trem.

Thanks for the tip. If i had the money, i would buy one of those tremolo equipped strandys, mod it and put a floyd rose on it just to see how it stands and functions :D
