    Hi guys,

I got my LTD EC401B a few days back.

I've been wanting a 6-string baritone guitar again for a while.
I sold my Ibanez MMM1 years ago and despite owning 7 and 8 string baritones I kinda missed that sound and feel that a 6-string baritone has to offer.

The build quality is very high as expected and I'm a fan of EMG's so that works.

I recorded a video with this today, hope this gives a good idea of how it sounds. :hbang::hbang:

    Cheers!

    Thanks!
I didn't even realise that these were made in a different factory....
    I guess that's a good sign!

EC-401s were made in the Indo factory. I think they went back to Korea recently, though?

How is the fretwork and binding on your guitar? I have one of these that came out of the box really rough but then all the pictures I see of other folks EC401s look pretty clean. I've been playing it for years now and thinking about getting another if mine was just crappy and they are normally nice.

Edit - Irrelevant. Didn't realize these had been discontinued. No baritones last on the market any more it seems.

The satin neck feels so damn smooth.
    Unreal!

I have Elixir strings on it now, the baritone strings.
I did change out the plain .22 for a wound .24 though.
    Much better...

Mine is made in China so it probably just got their bottom tier treatment. Ill have to seek out a MIK one.

The LTD 6 string baritone lineup is/was awesome. I had a Horizon baritone and an Viper baritone. Clearest sounding guitars I've ever played.
