Yup I gotta agree. I know I will end up getting an Indo made guitar at some point only if the quality becomes up to par with Korean made guitars. So far the only Indo made guitars I liked is from Jackson. All Indo made Jackson played really really solid.

Yeah, they are solid players and some of them for the price are fairly reasonable. I am getting a pro series mick thomson soloist and from what I have heard it is a metal machine, so I am waiting to decide if that is the case

Hm, maybe that is why when I played ones that costed $400 and ones that costed $1000 I was like I don't really feel that much of a difference. I would also say it is cool and all, but for the price, I can't justify it.

Ibanez is made by Cort, and ESP LTD/PRS SE/Schecter/Jackson/Solar/Chapman are made by World Music Industries factory. WMI is proven to have better quality guitars with more consistent quality control. And you shouldn't ever compare guitars in a store where guitars are set up really badly almost every time. Even if they say "we make setup and full inspection for these guitars before put them for sale". That is just how affordable guitars are treated in music stores.

Interesting. I don't think Schecter does stuff in Indonesia, I think they mainly deal in South Korea, but I am probably wrong on that

LTD and Asian made Schecters are basically the same company. Only higher end Schecters like signature models, Elite & Hybrid series etc. are made in Korea. Even 1000-series LTD models have moved to Indonesia, and they had quite a drop in prices for this year.

I still have yet to see any verification about Indonesian-made Ibanez guitars being made by Cort besides the Korean-made ones from over a decade ago that were also owned by them. As far as I know, the Indonesian factories are owned by them and the Premium factory is separate from the one that makes standard and IL guitars.

Daemoness did a guitar like this recently....Chronicler 'Black Mass'...owned by SS.org Blytheryn. Very cool guitar that Daemoness is....your guitar bears a striking resemblance to it....way cool!!!

I played the Black Metal M model this week trying out pedals and I really liked the guitar. There's not much to F up on it since it's so minimalist (unlike the past years of Ltd's). The neck profile was my only dislike.

This thread made me realise hoe much I liked the Black Winter pup and that I should buy one, or two. How's the BW neck? Should I get the set or bridge only?

Very black indeed...congrats on the guitar. I like it's simplicity of just one pick up on the guitar.

    Damn, these are nice!

Though, am I the only one who thinks the lack of a V in this lineup is a damn shame?

Not that I can afford to buy... well, anything, these days... but if I could, one of these in a V shape, or even the EX (is there an EX? I don't think I saw one of those either) would be a 'must have'.

It would be nice if they had a v with a reversed headstock, that would fit well. No 7 strings please lol

Yeah V with reverse blade headstock was what I was hoping for. 6 or 7.

I hope though that Jackson does something like that with the mick thomson theme Jackson-Mick-Thomson-Collection.jpg

If they were to do that omg. I ordered one of the pro series soloists and should be getting it soon!

Ahhh yes..... I'm not even into Slipknot, but I do really like that V! (yay for no lame inlays.... unlike other sigs....)

The AHB-3's are nice pickups too.... they'd be my second choice of active Duncans. Always had a sweet spot for the AHB-2's that most people dont even know exist. Black Winter's would actually in fact be my first choice of pickups though.
