I'm not into tech-death a whole bunch these days but I've always enjoyed Soreption and this track rips!

Awesome. I've always loved that Soreption places a strong emphasis on groove in their songs to contrast and balance out the balls-out tech parts. Always appreciate a good headbang section. Looking forward to this!

Same here, that opening riff and the groove after it really start the song off right.

These guys are about the only tech death I can handle and I truly love their unique feel in the genre. They just have it. They are so tight groovy and on point it's ridiculous. The entire band are beasts on their instruments and I especially love the guitarists melodic lead lines that aren't just typical tech death sweeps galore.

I was thinking more Negation era. But definitely a strong Decapitated influence.

This absolutely destroyed me. Love this band. As a huuuuge Decapitated fan, this really hit me in my sweet spot. Ooft the grooves.

What?!!. I havent listened to it yet but now I HAVE too. That is still the quintessential death metal album for me.

EDIT: Sweet jesus that was great. I can definitely hear the decapitated influence. It's like they mixed the negation with organic. Killer stuff

I was worried after Anton left that their new album would end up lackluster as he wrote all the crazy groovy riffs that make Soreption, but this is killer. I'm surprised.

    Song is awesome
And I’m also getting those decapitated vibes and it’s a good thing

Mikael Almgren is ripping riffs for them now. Amazing player. And all guitar parts on this new record were recorded on a Daemoness Dinky clone owned by Dylan himself. I'm super stoked for this release!

Yeah Mikael is no slouch, I've followed him on Instagram since he replaced Anton and I had no doubt this would be a fine album. Single kicks ass, absolutely stoked for the release.

I didn't realize Anton had left. He was an amazing player. I have to say the new player fits in nicely as well though on this song at least.

Another banger of a track, less technical and more groovy but still really good.

^ I love it! I've been eyeing their CD/shirt bundles. Particularly the "Dead earth" design. Comes with a poster? Man, I might have to. :agreed:
