Need Jazz Fusion Recommendations Like CHON That Aren't Chon

    tricot is excellent live. Can't stand anything they've recorded though, including live performances.

    Marbin is a fun fusion band. Most of the focus is on guitar and saxophone with elements of gypsy jazz in a lot of their stuff. Their guitarist was heavily influenced by Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, who you may also want to check out.


    Mr. Fastfinger's music is usually pretty uplifting and has very tasteful phrasing.

    If you like Chon go for Allan Holdsworth, most of the prog guitar world steals shit from him.

    Also Wayne Krantz, he's like the evolution of it.
