I'm ready. I feel like in between 2014 and now the scene got saturated with a whole bunch of Periphery/Monu/TesseracT copycats. We need our true djent overlords back!

Is it just me, or does that look like three lanes of drum MIDI?

Huh... I didn't even notice it, but I think you are right. Without a doubt it's midi and it definitely is in the shape of drum patterns. I'm hoping they use real drums since the last album was real drums but at the same time, they don't have a drummer anymore...

Is Barretto still doing vocals? Been curious what happened to, well, anyone from Ever Forthright really.

It certainly sounds like he is on there.

Everyone else from Ever Forthright is doing...well...new Ever Forthright. They have been active about it on social media as of late. Not sure if Baretto is still involved though.

Maybe, I would think Cubase would let your route the MIDI to different channels, lol.

Not a Cubase user but routing different MIDI notes (eg kick and snare) to actual different VSTs would generally be a pain to set up if at all possible in the DAW, quicker to use different tracks.
I use multiple MIDI tracks myself just for tidyness anyway, and to make bulk selecting things for velocity processing and such easier (kick, toms, snare, cymbals tracks all separate)

Not quite! It's not my cup of tea but the Guitarist and Keyboarder from Ever Forthright have been in this "side-project" for a while now: Stimpy Lockjaw

So pumped about this and really glad that it's still Barretto. That guy is unbelievable. I know he had his issues w/ Periphery and even recently with Monuments, hope he's in a better place now.

I never really understood this. He recorded the whole album of Periphery 1 and then they cut him a month before release to get Spencer which I never knew why. And also a lot of fans/Monuments seem to have problems with him. Why is this? He always seemed like a cool dude to work with and he's definitely really talented...

I wasn't aware Monuments had issues with him...
