the band have finally released some teasers for their 3rd album.

their first album "Gnosis,", and their 2nd effort "The Amanuensis" were absolutely outstanding releases.

    Im super pumped for this

If I could absorb the riff-writing abilities of any guitar player, I'd probably choose John Browne. That guy is a riff-making machine. Can't wait for this release!

his riffs, while not always groundbreaking, always sound fresh with each listen and linger in my mind for months at a time. Even The Amanuensis has this cool sense of nostalgia to it for me due to the riffs.

his right hand though, i'd take it in a heartbeat.

Genuinely very excited. The amanuensis still gets regular rotation for me. I love that record. Can't wait to hear what's next.

I don't go to Monuments for breakdowns, but goddamn, that is a tasty breakdown.
Huge fan of both Browne and Olly, so new Monuments is always a good thing.

They did have Daniel Lang from Red Enemy playing with them on the last few tours and he was made a permanent member, but unfortunately he didn't have the time to devote to being in Monuments full time as they're planning some serious touring with album 3 coming up. He plays in several different bands and projects here in Ireland. That was only in the last few months I believe so I don't know if they have gotten anyone else since.

If ever any band could pull off writing/recording and then even gigging, with programmed drums it would be them.
Although they have the luxury of being able to interest some serious session drum talents for tours.

Either way, I would still love them even if they used backing track drums live.

I'm just less familiar with him as a player, saw Brown doing all the Mesa Boogie demos and stuff but I don't doubt Olly's skill at all will have to look more closely

Olly's funk and fingerstyle playing is seriously on point.
