Not to be pedantic but I though the VH4 was PCB construction, like Mesa amps?
There's still some hand wiring to be done.
It is... and the tube sockets are PCB mounted. The pots and jacks are chassis mounted with flying leads IIRC.
Ah I see, thanks for the clarification.
Oh I'm sure, believe me I'm not trying to make a dig at Diezel, I don't put pcb or hand wiring ahead of either and a Herbert or D-moll is a dream amp for me.
Yeah definitely nothing wrong with Diezels
it is funny now and it was funny then
Mooer? There's is nothing real from that monstrous amp that you're going to capture in a $100 pedal. Probably just as close grabbing one of the things they already have.
Only real option for getting this sound on the cheap is probably petitioning Mercuriall to do it next.
Also one of the Mooer preamps in the upcoming batch (015 - 020) is possibly a Mike Fortin amp.
I'd rather capture the $3,400 saved and buy a few more guitars and a quarter pound of weed.
Fine man, just saying -- every time there is an amp thread there's that mooer/pedal/Kemper comment. Like, 3500s too high, I'll just get the $100 pedal? The amp was never going to be $1500 or anywhere in the stratosphere of that pedal's price...
Looked more like a joke to me.
this is a shit demo
Clueless interviewer, bad demonstrator, bad mic placement, what looks like the mids almost completely scooped, bass maxed. Yeh pretty shit demo...
I'm actually surprised that it still sounded ok to me despite all that. It didn't have the growl of previous videos, but then the mids are low.
hurr durr mid scoop=metal
it's worse because he played shitty dad rock. so sick of these blues players doing the demos for every product. revv did the same thing at the most recent namm.
I guess Hiwatt got them to take it down? I think i would have done the same
I got into the first 25 batch
The final UK price is £2999. I'm going ahead with it and they're processing my deposit now.
yeah looks like it. It was a pretty terrible demo imo.
The guy didn't know who Mike Fortin was, and maybe that is niche information, but the guy interviewing amp companies at NAMM should know who makes Kirk Hammett's amps.
