Using it to get some nasty sounds out of my 8 string. I really like what Devin Shidaker has been doing in The Acacia Strain with them. I've never played with one, I'm open to all recomendations.

The acacia strain guys have a "signature" fuzz made by Abominable Electronics called the gravebloom. It is essentially the Demon Lung he makes, without the switch to change the clipping diodes between Silicon and NOS Germanium.

The demon lung is a recreation of the Boss FZ-2. Made popular by Electric Wizard, amongst others. I own a demon lung, and it is killer. He builds high quality stuff.

Oddly the gravebloom pedal is $225, while the demon lung is $200. IMO I'd save 25 dollars and get the option of switching the clipping diodes with the loss of the Acacia Strain artwork.

I’ve been really curious about this. Could you tell me which songs he uses the fuzz pedal in? Is it all on the new album or is it in coma witch too?

I'm not sure exactly song for song but certain songs like coma witch and a handful of songs off the gravebloom album I've picked up on. I'm not too familiar with fuzz pedals in general so I'm not too sure.

I really like the Fat Fuzz Factory. It has bonkers sounds in it, 8 bit, velcro fuzz, but you can also get some massively heavy tones out of it.

Another I really fell in love with when I jammed with it was the Mojo Hand Colossus, put a huge grin on my face and the sound was masssssive.

The Behringer Super Fuzz is awesome. It's an FZ-2 copy and it's cheap. People bring up the plastic housing like it's fragile, I've had their HM300 (HM-2 copy) for awhile too and both pedals have held up without any issues. You won't have any problems with it as long as you keep it away from open flames and don't treat it like a trampoline. It's a great fuzz pedal imo.

VFE Fiery Red Horse. Both the V1 and V2 versions are good, but you may also get extra mileage from using a Klon klone like the Matthews Effects The Architect v2, or something like the VFE Focus. These are only necessary if you need extra tone shaping.

I second fuzzrocious. I own the demon(not a fuzz) and a V1 Circada fuzz, they're an awesome combination of beautiful musicality and some ugly ripping tones, super great for getting solos to stand out
