I think the LE has bigger balls, but it's difficult to choose without a bass track. The LE has much more bass, but the Lecto with a good bass track would serve the songs better. Anyway, I voted for the LE. :)

there's some weird phasing going on with both guitars. did you reamp them individually, or send all guitar tracks through one bus? sounds like the latter to me

other than that, i prefer the LE456 for that sort of riffing. it seems to be a tad punchier in the mids

    Thanks for Your vote !

    Hi !

I'm sending 100% panned guitars to one grouptrack and 80% panned guitars to other grouptrack in Cubase.
Then on the Grouptrack I'm using Stereo TSS plugin, VST Amp in stereomode and Lecab to pan those guitars L and R.
Am I doing something wrong here ?

    All Best,
    Omrat

For me LECTO would sit better in a good mix. It's great at the frequencies you want to hear from a guitar.

    They sound very similar!

I'd go with the LE, but there's not much between the two.

The LE almost always has too much high end and/or gain until you pull it down to a very low level, the LeCto has always sounded better for me, especially in a full mix.

I voted LE, I think it has more of a "punch to the face" sound.

But is it normal if I hear a bit of crackling in the mix? it's only on the guitar tracks though (I hear them in the mix aswell, but like I said, the crackling is comming from the guitars)

edit: Where can I find the LE456 impulse ?

Actually there is a bass track in the mix ( pitchshifted guitar ) :)
Maybe I need tweak the level of the basstrack. Thanks for the vote !

Thanks for that post ! I realized, that my Lecab was running on Blend mode. I switched it to independet and I think I got rid of the phasing issue ! I uplodaded new files to first post and they sound definitely different in a good way I think. ( it seems like the center of guitar mix is cleaner now )

Thanks for the Tip. In the beginning I had actually 3 favorites and one of them was TSE X30. I didn't like it very much.........

They sound very similar because that was a purpose.
I discovered LE456 first and then Lecto. I really liked LE456 so I try'd to tweak LECTO in same direction.....

You can listen new versions ( without that phasing issue ).
Do You still hear that crackling ?

You can find LE456 plugin :

    LePou Plugins: LE456

And thanks to all for Your votes :metal:
I still dont know which one to choose :)

    FIRST POST IS EDITED !

    Thanks,
    Omrat

I'm not sure if its your song that has the crackling in it, maybe it's my headphones that are too weak, but I still hear it.

Can anyone else confirm this? I feel like im hearing things :ugh:

I can. It sounds like the volume of the guitar track is too high. Isn't the volume meter in the red area in your DAW?

Yeah, guitars are clipping, try pulling the volume down until you don't get any red area volume in the guitar tracks :yesway:

Just checked the mix, and Yes, the volume meter was in the red area.
Not only guitars but all mix was clipping.
I readjusted volume in every track until there was no red light during the playback.
Now I need some plugin-s on mastertrack to get volume up again ( comp and limiter ).
I allso edited my first post - again :)

So..... are the guitars still clipping ?

This thread is been very helpful for me already. First the phasing issue, then clipping...............

Thank You all for the tips and votes !!!! :metal:

Actually, I thought all the tones sounded very good.

What was the signal chain you were using?

    Guitar > Pod X3 Live ( dry signal ) > TSS plugin > Amp plugin ( LE456 or Lecto ) > Lecab plugin for Impulses ( Catharsis ) > EQ

    There is 4 guitartracks - 2 panned 100% L and R, 2 panned 80% L and R

    All Best,
    Omrat
