Dagon and his fish folk were trying to stop you from finishing my guitar with that hurricane
Glad to see you made it through the hurricane. We're still waiting for an update for my parents place in Sarasota.
good news for sure
I'll just leave this here
Dude! Wow! Congrats!
just saw this!
awesome...the guitar looks great in the vid. def something for you to be proud of
Thanks man! I'm definitely proud and excited.
Here's a quick preview of the next Wayfarer, going to a client in Japan!
that'll be cool. katalox neck?
Yeah, got talked into it lol
I thought you said it's too hard to work with lol
It's definitely the toughest wood I've found! Rock hard, resistant to cutting, splinters like a bastard. On the plus side... it looks amazing and after 2 days of carving your neck, my arms looked pretty great too haha
Seriously though, I'm probably going to take it out of the selector on my site after this one.
sweet, I'll have one of the only katalox necks then
Limited edition, yo
Just picked up some nice mahogany and the coolest ash I've ever seen.
Congrats man, I really miss my Katalox fretboard but I do remember hearing it was a PITA to work with.
I'm going to build a prototype with an Ovangkol neck. I think this one will be very tough to work with, too.
EDIT: Nice ash btw!
I'm alive! Though I don't post here nearly as often as I should.
On the the bench today: ash body, pau ferro neck and fretboard. This one is getting a new prototype wind from Adam over at Elysian, I'm pretty pumped.
Tomorrow I'm going to get the front and rear contours carved, we'll see what else happens.
Feels good! The body is down to sanding now, looking forward to getting frets installed and neck carved.
Dots and frets are done, looking forward to the neck carve!
