So Jeff says that these are actually set thru necks and confirms that it's basically the thickness of an aries on the edges. the video also gives a better view of the multiscale 7. He claims they had been working on this design for 4 years. I still feel like the neck heel could be transitioned better, like ESP does on their set necks, where there's no heel.

I want to do an overlay at some point of both models from the back. I have a feeling that while the neck transition on the ESP might be smoother, it seems like it gets wider and thicker sooner. So while Kiesel's might be "stepped", there's actually less material there. I feel the same way about the Aries bolt neck joint vs an Ibanez AANJ. I haven't done it yet, so I don't have proof, but it's a gut feeling.

for me it's not so much an accessibility issue as an aesthetic issue. I hate that type of neck heel since it kills the flow of the overall design.

Not gonna lie... I love it! That finish and quilt, the body. Just wish it had the inline headstock and it was a satin finish.

Yeah, I agree with people saying something looks off. I can't tell what it is, but it's almost as if the they thinned out the horns from the inside, rather than the outside. Whatever it is, it's definitely a Jeff design, because he and I definitely don't share esthetics. I do like the CT, so it's a shame there is no 8 string variant on that. But this is definitely not on my short list. Hard to believe they've been working on that design for 4 years, though.

Maybe it's the first completed design by his 4 year old son.

Maybe it's the angle or the multiscale, but that does look much better there than in the other pictures.

But I still prefer the CT.

Anyone know what the starting price is? I'm wondering if Jeff is going to edge it up a little over the other models, as I know he wants to bring up the prices.

I think he said it was 1400 for a 6 string.

What an underachiever. Asahd Khaled has an executive production credit and he's not even 1, and the album went gold in less than a month!

See no reason why he didn't just make more options for the CT. This is just different enough to justify a new model, but similar enough to ask "but why?".

A little higher than base models for the others, not not too bad. I'm on record saying I don't care for it, but I've been down this road before, so I wouldn't be surprised if I own one a year from now. I really wish Kiesel would do 8 string floyds. That's a huuuuuge untapped area of the market that no one is in.

Kiesel is pretty weird with their models. The DC, DCM and Aries with no bevel are pretty much the same apart from multiscale and neck joint. I guess it looks more impressive to have an extensive lineup of models but it gets pretty confusing too as most of those things could just be an option you choose.

At least they've changed the website so that the different models are grouped so it's easier to see which are mostly the same.

Looks like a play on the majesty-style super deep cutaways. If nothing else, it looks extremely comfortable on the upper frets.

Here's a "see-through" shot of the neck joint.
