    Hi Guys,

I bought the saddles that comes with Hipshot 8 STRING IBBY FP GUITAR BRIDGE and I found the height adjustment screws are too short compared to the stock ones and I'm having fret-buzzing issues. I also found that the intonation screws are longer than the stock ones and it has somehow affects intonation setup.

Do anyone know the specs of both screws?

    Thanks!

Im not sure about 8's but i know there are 2 heights of hipshot bridges for 7's a .125 and a .175

That could possibly effect your saddle screw length I'm not sure though.

    why does everyone bum hipshot.?
what benefit do hipshot saddles give you over the stock ones?. The stock Ibanez saddles are as comfy as any strat type guitar and the Hipshot ones are not exactly made out of material that help string breakages like say Graphtech string savers are etc. What a pointlessly expensive upgrade. They are just shaped slightly different. Has anyone ever A/B'd stock saddles and Hipshot saddles to see what tonal differences there are?. if any?.

I just dont understand the logic behind it other than just saying "My guitar has a hipshot bridge now".

EDIT: This is not aimed specifically at the OP, just a general statement of observation.

My guitar came stock with a hip shot bridge, it feels comfortable, but I honestly don't know how they compare to other hipshot style bridges

This is very true although it doesn't really answer the OPs question. I wonder how it became the industry wide standard for set bridges.

    7/64" outside diameter.
    1/4" length.
    Hex drive, 1/20" (50 thou).

No idea about TPI. Hipshot might be able to send you some longer screws if you call them, by the way.

Standard 3mm studs, they're all over ebay and McMaster.
