Alleged to be a year 2000 J-custom/fujijen custom 7420 with the flame top and tobacco burst.
I've never heard of or seen these models and thought all 7420/1 and 7620/1's were all painted a solid color. Apparently it came with a J custom came that he sold >____>

The job job looks well done but idk something about it seems off.
    Could just be me though!

    Thanks guys.

Looks nicely done. Near certainty that it's a production RG7420 (which were nice!) that someone modified with a veneer and paint job. If he really insists that it's some type of J-Custom, a pic of the back of the headstock or the neck heel would probably prove him wrong.

    It's definitely a mod job.

I don't know where this was for sale, but there have been a couple RG7420s with a mod like this floating around.

Looks nice but no way a J custom has any Lo TRS style bridge

When you say the words J Custom and 7420 together you know something is up already...

The flame top on my LACS Gio is a lot more symmetrical than that. You'd be getting hosed.

Definitely a mod, not LACS. Looks cool though.

Modded for sure. if it was a J custom it would be on Ibanez' WIKI. It's just an RG7420 with a different color. One way to know if it's Japanese made is if the serial number starts with an F. It probably isn't though

Actually it definitely is Japanese made. All RG7420s made at the turn of the century, the ones with the Lo-TRS bridge, were built in Japan. Definitely not J-Custom though, and I sincerely doubt it's a LACS-modified guitar either.
