    Hello!

Since I now finally own a 7 string, I figured I'd join this forum :) I just picked up a Vigier Excalibur Special 7. It is epic! The neck and trem are especially great. Time for me to start getting brootle anyway!

They really do. I also have a surfreter which I have had for a few years. They are one of my favourite guitars :)

This is a weird question but are the pickups firm in their place or do they wiggle around a bit? asking for....research

They do not wiggle, like a rock!
Although, my favourite guitar does have wiggly pickups!

Vigiers have a distinct tone to them, and stand out tonally against other super strat type guitars. It's hard to describe, but the tone is very 'woody'. The pickups are dimarzios which are too high output for my tastes and a bit cold and lifeless, so I expect I will swap them out for something else soon. I put a set of PAF style pickups in my Surfreter and it came to life. The guitar itself sounds similar to the Surfreter, so this one should be great with a fresh set.

Have you tried playing around wit the height of the dimarzio's ?
I have an evo 2 and breed set, with the right height they became my fav pickups (in a fretless of all things)

Welcome! Hmm, it looks like a great instrument. I have to say, that as a bass player, I am very interested also in Vigier basses. I am going to buy one some day. My favorite bass player Patrice guers has one...
