Looks like there is going to be a new modeler in town. Just saw Ola post about this on facebook.
from what I've read, it comes from the guys at Eleven Rack (AVID?)...
Here is the page
From the amp list it looks like an Eleven rack packed in a floor format. Still no pitch or harmonizer effects like the 11R
Looks pretty neat. I wonder what's the price of the unit, if it's cheaper than Helix and sounds on par or better, I'm interested! Weird choice for a first video though...
From what I've read, it's supposed to be around 899 pounds in the UK. The press release does say that it has IR loading, so that is a step in the right direction. The amp list isn't exactly what one would call 'impressive' but there's always expansion packs. The Pod HD was the same way when it was first released.
Well that was like the most musical thing I've ever heard Sarah play.
That's what I read as well.
I noticed that as well. Hopefully they add some more with updates!
I saw 899 somewhere. I forgot what currency it was though lol.
I mean, the board does say powered by Eleven on it...
Touch screen looks pretty, but I'm skeptical about the durability of something like that for regular gigging/touring.
I dont know for sure but if 899 pounds is like 1030e it might be 999e or 1099e the same would go for US.
If it has space for IRs then it has 100% enough space for some expansion packs. Just the starter pack list isnt what i would expect. No engl or peavey sims at all. Those few modulation FX are basic stuff.
I'm sure the FX/amps/cabs list is still growing. The site page is still... limited. Question, how will the chain be? In a grid like the Axe and Helix or still linear as the 11R?...
Interesting! Always nice to see a new piece of gear.
In the picture one of the pedals says Harm, and there is harmoniser and whammy listed as effects.
Already in there (or at least planned) by the looks of things.
Pitch and whammy effects not being present was one of my only complaints about the eleven rack when used into a real cab. This could be pretty cool if it supports custom IRS or at least has better cabs.
Apparently, it does support IRs but the selection of reverb & delay effects is surprisingly slim. It could be why it's so much cheaper than the Helix (which some have been comparing it to, at least in the looks department).
If it's anything like the reverbs in the eleven rack (I assume they'll be exactly the same) there are a surprising amount of options in the reverb, and it's of top notch quality. The delays from memory were fairly limited though from, only being able to dial in a ratio for stereo delays and some weird phasing issues with stereo.
Still if the build quality is decent and it can do IRs I think it could be an awesome budget option. I don't think you can go past a used axe ultra for value though, but maybe the built in pedalboard is worth it to some.
bumping this with Ola's demo. I seriously had no clue this was even a thing till today.
That whole changing settings with the expression pedal is pretty neat actually.
Very, very cool. Ola's demo was fun. Does something like this pedal give Axe or Kemper a run for its money? It is already much less expensive!
hard to say til more demos come out. At the price range it's at right now there's a lottt of competition. You could pick up a used axe fx/bias head for around the same price and a used kemper for bit more.
^ True. But I think the appeal of the Headrush is that it is all inclusive. No need for a rack or a head unit AND a floorboard.
That drag-and-drop user interface is brilliant. About time someone did something like that.
I'm surprised there's no metal bar under the screen to prevent you from stepping on and cracking the screen. Must be pretty damn sturdy.
