    Hello!

It' been a while since I've last informed regarding the question.

I've checked Ibanez, and still no stepping forward, just their regular 27"s.

Custom shops don't play regarding the high price range.

Or any signs if something will pop-up in the 2019 catalogues ?

    Thanks!

I think he’s be stuck trying to find a used one, as they are expensive in EU due to shipping/VAT/import fees. Also harder to return if there’s a lemon, etc.

Jackson fan frets are 28 on the low.

    Just buy a Schecter though.

    Thanks so far!

Any experiences (bad/good) regarding the Jackson Fanned frets?

This looks promising and it's price is also reasonable: https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-...dkaf-24-fan-fret-8-string-in-stained-mahogany

26-28" and even looks great. But what about the quality, hardware, pickups and playability? Wonder how thick it's neck would be, I have read that Jacksons have usually a bit thicker neck than the 8 string Schecters. ? Any reason why I should rather skip this one and just go for a Schecter Daemon 8 maybe?

Wow, that jackson ff looks awesome. I'm also looking for a ff8, I'd get a RAN for sure, but too expensive for my finantial situation nowadays. Even considered the Harley Benton for a while, but too much work to make it usable I think.

That Jackson is sexy and relatively cheap but I'm scared about the weight being mahogany anyway. My back doesn't allow me to hang anything heavier than 4kgs, so I'm mainly looking for Swamp ash, which reduces a lot the possibilities here. I don't love the colour either, just ok. Finally, I wonder about the pickups too.

I like the idea of 8 string teles, wonder how they sound compared to the usual superstrats. Or the shape makes just minor difference? I don't like that much the headstock tho', with a shape like Ibanez or LTDs it could have be much more seemly... But it's price is also reasonable.

I also wonder -not if they would make up any option for me here in the EU- why the FF Agiles are only 27"? Wouldn't be that hard to give it that extra 1".

I have no experience with them whatsoever, there's a discussion in a recent thread.

Agile do all sorts of scale length options, they have done plenty of 30-27" 8 strings

Schecter and esp are both releasing 8 string multiscales in 2018. Neither are going to be cheap from what i can tell (prob >1k usd). I don't know how hard it is to find the ibanez rgif8 in eu but it's a solid option imo. I tried some in guitar center a while back and they played relatively well.

Yea, I didn't checked all of them last time, only the ones I like the color. The Pendulum Pro 82527 EB looks very cool, but I guess wouldn't buy it, even if I could here in EU, because the the 27".

KnightBrolarie: Same there, Ibanes are only 27". Looking forward to the 2018 models than, but I guess there wouldn't be any miracle (28" with acceptable price), not from ESP for sure, they didn't even make a 28" Standard Fret yet, and only if they would make an LTD FF could be somewhat payable for me. Will se anyway...

Schecter has their 2018 page out, but no 8 string, only a 7 string FF there. It is 1329$ in a US shop, so an 8 string version would be just higher. But -maybe- would be still cheaper than the Banshee Elite 8, and even looks quite cool. Still a bit pricey tho', but I would definitely take it under consideration if they would make the 8 version.

the only ibanez option 28" or greater is the m80m or m8m. Michael kelly 508x is a 28" tele 8 string. Schecter has a bunch of 28" scale guitars, so it stands to reason that their ff8 would be 28" on the low end.

so those would be available pretty soon, theres also 8 strings in the hypes on the next run thats due to get build one month after the goliaths.

Not sure if those are on your price budget tho. Hopefully no more waiting, so keep an eye open

Well, these Goliaths are definitely not my style yet by shape and as they're headless. At least not for my first (or even second) ERG. Would rather go for some more usual Superstrat style first. Will check on Ormsby anyway, maybe they will have some for more of my liking as well...
