If you’ve ever had an RG2228 then you already know just what a machine these things are.

I put a lot of consideration (and money) into this guitar thinking I'd
never ever sell it but life has a funny way of changing your mind. I
wanted a classic muscle car finish hence the Plymouth Metallic, and when
discussing the job with my luthier (I had it professionally refinished)
we decided rounding off the body edges a bit would go good with the new
color. It's got the original serial number untouched on the back of
the headstock so the model can be verified.

I really love the way the two pickups sound when the coils are split
together, so I've had the 3-way wired so that the middle position has
both pickups on in split mode (1st and 3rd positions are standard neck
and bridge full). I also have jumpers plugged in on the back of the
pickups for the "HF Tilt" to be permanently on, but this can be quickly
    reversed (no soldering).

The locking tuners are simply there for ease of string changing, and I
like the original Gotoh Magnum lock as they look nearly stock and add
very little weight. The guitar is currently set up for a "drop E"
tuning (E-B-E-a-d-g-b-e) with a 74 for the low E - too light for most
people, but I like it to still sound like a guitar (not a bass) and the
double locking setup keeps things in tune no problem.

I'm not in a hurry to part with this beast, asking price is $1650 or best offer. No trades please.

    Thanks for the interest

I recently picked up an Aristides 080 or else I'd be all over this. Absolutely beautiful work and a stunning guitar. GLWS, can't imagine this will last long!
