Brightening up an RG7620

    I had a Jugg set in a basswood rg752 and it was really muddy on the 7th string even with low string gauge like a 56. The other strings sounded pretty good but single notes on the 7th just sounded boomy and muddy and I couldn't eq it out. YMMV.

    I didn't like the Jugg 7 neck at all, it wasn't harsh but it wasn't smooth like my Cold Sweat. The CS is just so smooth for leads maybe I'm spoiled haha.

    May I suggest a Dimarzio PAF 7 for the bridge, it was actually stock in the 752 and I can see why they put it in there. It's kind of a neutral pickup and not very high output either. You can shape it like you want with the amp eq.
