I'm in between choosing one of these so I would like to know what the major differences are. Currently have installed emgs 81/85. What would I need to do to install passive pickups? I'm new to changing pickups lol
I'm into playing progressive metal and jazz.

Depends who you want to be more, Misha or Jake? Lulz, I joke. As far as I know titans are six string only, and juggs go seven and eight.

You would need new pots and wiring. Take it to a tech. What kinda guitar do you wanna put it in? You cant really go wrong with either.

The first thing that comes to mind is the Titans will be significantly less expensive.

And if you're converting from active to passive pickups you'll need new pots and a new jack at least, not to mention some soldering skill. That's a whole other topic in and of itself.

To my ear it sounds like the Titans have a really strong focus in the midrange, where the Juggs sound more balanced across the spectrum. I've never played the Titans myself, so I can't say how they feel. I love my Juggs.

I'm taking it to tech definitely just wanted to know what parts would need to be purchased extra. And I have a Schecter Damien Elite FR 6. Currently leaning more to juggs but I enjoyed the cleans on the titans more

IMHO the Titans sound tighter with more chord based work and the Juggs articulate a little better with single note phrases and leads.

I should have mentioned I was specifically referring to the bridge pickups! The neck pickups....well, just gotta listen to clips and see your preferred voicing I s'pose!

I was kina hoping to get a matched set, but both of them combined would be pretty interesting. The sound I want is really nice smooth cleans and but a full and dark sounding pickup with really good clarity

To me, that sounds like the Juggernaut! The Titan can clean up in the bridge, but the juggernaut retains more "dark smoothness"

I think stereo jack works with passive, but not the other way around (mono jack with actives), no?

Correct, you can connect passive pickups to a stereo jack, you would simply have an extra unused lug on the jack.
