DAT THREAD TITLE! I got this one a little while back and I've been trying to get pics recently but between not having a ton of free time on weekends or bad weather, it's been tough! The posts about metallic orange in the other thread reminded me I hadn't posted this one up yet, plus it's nearing time for Halloween so bright orange is definitely something that reminds me of Autumn. Finally got around to getting the pics for this one snapped and uploaded so here you go!

This beauty is a custom Parker Fly Mojo MIDI in their "Tangerine Metallic" finish which just looks amazing in person! Now I have Parkers in my TWO favorite metallic finishes... Lime Green Metallic AND Tangerine Metallic! She's basically the standard all mahogany Mojo model with the addition of MIDI (still need to buy something like a Roland unit or whatever to take advantage of that side of things) and the sweet finish. Sounds and plays as good as a Parker should, so enough said there! I really love the lines on the original Parker body, just looks so futuristic and elegant like a true work of art and engineering should. Ken Parker really has an amazing eye for design, IMO. Enough chit-chat, on to the pics!

YeaAAAA! Those are two of my three favorite Parker finishes as well. If I was a dealer I'd order nothing but those lime gold and tangerine Parkers (and quietly accept that I'm the only one who likes solar flare).

I remember when a MIDI Fly meant that it had a GK3 internally mounted, even at the same time they made the Adrien Belew sig with an RMC system. So glad they switched to all Graphtech, it looks a lot better without that ugly pickup sticking out in front of the bridge.

I massively enjoy that. These metallic finishes really complement the lines very well. Can you imagine that just a few years ago I thought Parker guitars looked like ass?

    Sharp as always man.

Do you still have that refinished Tangerine Flake ibby?
That'd look pretty sweet side by side with this

Haha agreed, looks gorgeous when the light hits it! :D DEM CURVES!

Haha Solar Flare is a unique finish, it's not bad but I can see why a lot of guys don't really like black speckled with rainbow sparkles I guess. Seems like it would do well in an 80's cover band though!

YUSSSS! Love cars, love bright colors, love carbon fiber! Has that vibe for sure! :D

Ugh, right?! Looks more like it belongs there than the clunky GK3 pickup sitting there taking focus away from the guitar itself. :agreed:

HERESY! The Parker shape is a work of art!

    Me too!

Thanks man, that was the same problem I had! Now I have three...

Yep! Basically what you would have to do is buy a set of Duncans (BKPs would probably work too as long as you got the right spacing), dremel off the pickup ears/tabs flush with the side of the bobbin and then have the pickup screws for the A-D-G-B strings cut down so they're flush with the baseplate. The low E and high E screws are mounted to the body via two threaded inserts so once you have the tabs and screws trimmed, you just direct mount the screws into the threaded inserts. Little bit of a PITA but you can basically mount any Duncan pickup that has that same screw size for the treble/bass side of the pickup. Out of luck on any type of rail/blade magnet-style pickup though!

I don't, that one still resides with Joe (yellowv) on here! I actually almost prefer the orange sparkle finish on that guitar to be honest, that thing was sick! I'm still tempted to send Marty another one of my guitars to get refinished that color again.... :D

You mean all three? I have the lime green 7, this orange 6'er and then Adam D's Adam D sig model Dragonfly 6. :) I might be able to get both the orange and green one out on the deck for a pic sometime if I get some more nice weather on a weekend. :)

Thanks man! Do it! They are killer, some of the best playing (and with the Duncans they use now, best SOUNDING) guitars on the planet! :D Love them, hard to beat a Parker for playability!

You, sir, are my hero. I applaud you on your good taste. A metallic lime and metallic tangerine parker is my dream duo...and then you also have an Adam D sig....just wow! :) Happy NGD. Some day I will play a Parker, and maybe even own one!
